Background and context

This debate is part of multiple issues surrounding male reproductive rights. Significant controversy has surrounding the fact that men, despite being equally necessary in the conception of a child and ultimately having equal rights (or obligations) to any subsequent child, have very few rights when it comes to the choice of opting for or against an abortion. Many men feel this should change, and advocate for stronger male reproductive rights including the right to have some say or equal say in opting for abortion.
